Go, Go Laminate Flooring
We've been amazingly busy in our guest bedroom and have spent a huge amount of time finishing the stripping, skimming, sanding, painting and – wait for it – removing the laminate flooring! Over the last few weeks the bedroom already progressed from this to this almost stripped, almost plastered and almost primed room. Okay, so it wasn't a huge improvement, but definitely a start. Last week, we told you about plastering the wall alongside the staircase in preparation for our panelling that we'd hoped to install this weekend. We ordered the moulding last week, but it's still out of stock! We're probably a bit mad waiting for the specific moulding, especially as you can see that there are lots of options to choose from (and there are ... Read the Post
How To Remove Wallpaper
While stripping what seemed like hundreds of layers of paint off the staircase and dado rail in our hallway, it was almost inevitable that we completely wrecked the wallpaper that runs along the staircase between the two. In parts the paper was glued over the woodwork, so we couldn't help ripping it when stripping the paint. Also the gooey stripped paint got stuck all over the paper and left everywhere really dirty. We've already stripped plenty of wallpaper in our house, so at least we ... Read the Post
