If you’ve been following our home improvement adventures for a while you’ll probably already know that we’ve had a few fun things happen to us because of the blog.
We’ve been lucky enough to meet some fab people we now call our friends, we jetted off to the bright lights of London for the Amara interior blog awards where we were nominated in the best DIY & Home Improvement category, we got recognised in public (which I found weird and creepy) and we’ve been featured in lots of magazines and national newspapers.
One of the most fun and unusual experiences, however, was when our house was turned into a film set!

Way back in 2016, we first shared a behind the scenes post of the filming taking place. As you can probably imagine, it was a slightly bizarre experience to see our home full of actors, make up artists and film crew and it was even weirder to see photos of the imaginary homeowners dotted around our house!

So, why am I telling you about something that happened over 2 years ago?
It’s because the film ‘Karma’ is finally being released online today!

Even we’ve not seen it yet!
We’re not going to give too much about the story away here but some of it may sound familiar as it centres around a couple who are renovating their dream home.

Needless to say, it’s a bit more exciting than our lives and, other than the renovation, we luckily don’t have too much in common with the two main characters. You’ll just have to watch the film to find out what happens!
Let’s just say that I’m happy our time in the house didn’t end the way the film does!

The film will be released tonight at 21.00 GMT on YouTube!
(Here’s the link to the film (It’s rated PG15))
We’re so excited to finally be able to watch Karma even if it’ll be a bit weird watching other people ‘live’ in our home – especially as we no longer live there!
On a more personal level, the film is an amazing memento to have of our first home. If you ever have the chance of something like this happening in your home, we’d totally recommend it.
You can find out more information about the film ‘Karma’ here. See you tonight over on YouTube!
