Back in February we gave ourselves a push and decided to try and tackle 10 projects in 10 hours. Whilst it was a great way of motivating ourselves to finish a load of projects that we just didn’t get around to completing, it was tough and pretty hard going trying to get everything done in time, so this time we’ve set ourselves the more realistic goal of finishing off 5 projects in 5 hours. Hopefully if we do this at regular intervals and try to finish off project in the first place, we’ll ... Read the Post

It’s Stripping Time
After a fairly long and very well earned break from stripping, sanding and painting we're back at it again! Having spent around 250 hours stripping and sanding our staircase, restoring our bathroom and living room door as well as a load of skirting boards throughout the house, stripping and sanding has turned into one of our most hated DIY jobs. One of the only things that keeps us motivated is looking at our before and after pictures. So let's start right at the beginning… this is what our ... Read the Post
Oh What A Feeling, Now We’re Insulating Our Cellar Ceiling

What No One Will Tell You About Sanding Your Floors (& How We Did It)
Over the last week or so we've been sharing our flooring updates with you. As you've probably already guessed, we did a lot more than we initially let on. Basically, we sanded almost all the floors in our house in one weekend! It was so much work, with a little bit of disaster along the way… Friday 17/05/2013 14:30 I'm off to pick up the floor sanders that I reserved earlier this week. The sanders aren't ready and I'm told to come back in about 30 minutes. 15:15 I return to hire ... Read the Post
