We’ve been in two minds whether to make any New Year’s resolutions for this year and still aren’t really convinced that it’s a good idea – especially as we ended up breaking pretty much everyone that we set ourselves last year.
As always we already have a load of house goals that we’d like to achieve in 2014, but there are a few more personal things we’d like to work on, too. Of course our list includes the typical things like lose weight, exercise more and be healthier, but I’d say we generally don’t do too badly on that front.
This year our goals are definitely much more house and blog focused.
Don’t Rush Projects
Sometimes projects around here may be just about as interesting as watching paint dry – literally – but that’s just the way things sometimes are when restoring a house. As much as we’d like to share some fantastic before and after project with you every day, some projects just take time. I guess it’s something that we just have to accept – even if we’d like everything done NOW.
Be Better Bloggers
In 2014 we’d like to implement some changes and improve a few things around here. Something we’re really going to try to stick to this year is our blogging schedule. We usually post 4x a week and with a load of projects planned for the year at least we won’t run out of things to share with you! Remember, when we’re not working on some mad DIY project or blogging here, you can find us over on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook or Twitter.
Go With The Flow And Don’t Stress Too Much
This may contradict the whole resolution thing. We know that we sometimes take on way to many things at once and tend to push ourselves a bit too much. This year it would be nice to take a bit more time to concentrate on ourselves. It would also be great to indulge in a few DIY-free days for a change.
Do you have any resolutions for 2014? Or do you not believe in making plans that you probably won’t keep anyway?
