A few weeks ago I took part in an amazing workshop hosted by the talented ceramicist Joseph Hartley.
I particularly love his Makery collection, which is themed around bread making. You can check it out here. It was amazing to watch Joe at work. He was so inspiring and made throwing a vessel look deceptively easy.
My creations on the other hand are very much less perfect.
Even though the objects I made are really wonky, I’m still ridiculously happy with the result.
Having attempted to throw some bowls myself has definitely made me appreciate the time, work and dedication that goes into making such unique objects.
We’re still not sure where to display the bowls, but for now they really don’t look too bad on the fireplace mantel.
Have you ever taken part in a craft workshop? Have you ever attempted pottery?
