… and in with the new.
As you know, our living room renovation is well underway. All though we have done most of the building and decorating work the room is still really unfinished. The armchairs that were given to us by our friends are too large and don’t really match anything else in the room, the new built-in shelves are empty and the room is quite dull and lacking colour. Our new rug was given to us by Jan ‘ s parents for Christmas (Yes, I know it’s almost August, but we have just got round to bringing it to our house now). This is what the room looked like with our temporary rug.
And this is our living room now. We still need new furniture, especially a new coffee table, as it really doesn’t go with the rug and is too high, but we are (very) slowly getting there.
And this is the new rug looking the other way. We would like the new coffee table to be smooth and maybe shiny to contrast with the shaggy rug, which will hopefully keep our feet a bit warmer this winter.
It feels great walking on it bare foot as it so thick that you can hide your toes in it. Hopefully it will keep our feet a bit warmer this winter!
