I don’t know about you, but when we go on holiday we always seem to take a ridiculous amount of photos.
Whilst it’s great to have lots of reminders of places we’ve visited, we very rarely (if ever) sit in front of the computer and look at them – which is why we like to make holiday photo books.
They’re such a great way to document a trip and you can just grab the book from the shelf, flick through and reminisce.
Over the years we’ve made scrapbooks that we glue printed photos, ticket stubs and general memorabilia in, but we also love to have printed books, too.
As, it’s almost a year ago that we visited Las Vegas finishing our holiday photo book was possibly a bit overdue.
We’d already used Blurb for another project a few years ago, so I knew that I was really happy with the quality, which is why we decided to use them again for this project.
They have loads of different page templates which makes it really easy and fairly quick to design your book pages. If you have more time, you can also design your own layouts and set up your own page templates. It’s great to have so much flexibility, but equally be able to just upload your photos and go.
For the book itself, you have loads of options, too. There are different formats, different papers and different finishes, basically you’re guaranteed to find something that’s right for you.
It’s also a great way of sharing your holiday experiences with friends and family, as the book shows off a selection of your favourite photos instead of bombarding them with hundreds of unedited photos.
Of course you can make a book with whatever content you wish, not just your travel photos. We’ve made books as gifts before and they’ve always been greatly received. I guess you can tell that we really love our book!
Let’s just hope it doesn’t take us another year to get round to making a photobook of our next holiday!
Do you document your holidays? Have you ever made a photobook? Do you prefer a printed book or a scrapbook?
