I love being organized. It makes me feel more relaxed and gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Am I weird? – Maybe, but it just makes me feel better.
We don’t do any one particular thing to stay organized, but it’s the little things that add up. These are just a few of the things we do to stay on top of things.
Are you also one of those people who are permanently looking for your keys? We used always be looking for ours, but no longer. You may have already seen our solution on some of our hallway pictures, but here it is close up.
It’s a magnetic key board. It works so well, as you just need to throw your keys in the direction of the board and they will automatically “stick” to it.
A practical way of keeping and storing thank you cards, invites, vouchers, bus timetables and just any other day to day things, is our memory board in the hallway.
Everything that we need on a day to day basis is all together in this one space, so that we always know where to look.
We have practical stuff in there like bin collection dates and the gym class timetable but also fun and personal things like invites, thank you cards and photos.
In our office we try to keep on top of our paperwork and file things away as soon as possible.
We also have these amazing stainless steel dots on the office wall just over our desk.
They are really handy and we usually stick the most important things up there that either need sorting soon or things we need reminding about.
We have another little organization project planned for the office. As always we’ll share it with you as soon as it’s finished.
Another fairly obvious, but important thing is our calendar in the kitchen. It helps us keep up to date with our appointments and dates. Our calendar is great, as it has four columns for His and Hers dates as well as a separate column for Birthdays and one for our combined dates.
Do you have any clever ways of staying organized? Or do you have any tips on how to be organized?
