I almost feel I should issue a warning before you continue to read this post – it’s not pretty! If anything it’s the complete opposite – we’re living in a mess. Think I’m exaggerating? Well take a look at this:
Yep, that’s our dining room hidden under a load of junk. And if you think that’s bad, well it doesn’t get much better outsisde either, as our garden currently looks like this:
Simultaneously carrying out two projects is obviously taking it’s toll on our living situation and there is stuff everywhere.
We always try to stay organised and tidy, but somehow we always end up living in chaos. I’ve been desperately trying to keep our little office tidy, which so far seems to be working, but other than that we’ve pretty much decended into chaos.
Trying to take some at least semi-decent pictures of projects in our glamorous setup is easier said than done when you’re living in such a state. As you can see, our fourth bedroom is still a complete mess, too. We can’t wait to finally see some more progress in there!
Keeping motivated when you’re living like this is obviously not the easiest of things, so looking at inspiration is more important than ever, so here a few fun and creative things that are keeping us inspired at the moment.
- DIY 3D diamonds. Do I have to say more?
- Who knew miniatures could be so beautiful.
- The perfect coffee table vignette.
- Possibly the prettiest use of used plastic bottles ever?
Oh, and our lesson of the week is (drumroll please) Whatever size skip you’ll need, double it!
What keeps you inspired? Does your house also turn chaotic when you takle projects? (Please say yes, we’d feel a bit better about ourselves!) Have you learned any lessons when renovating you home or tackling projects?
