Okay, so we should have probably posted this a while ago, but just in case you are still looking for a few last minute gift ideas, these are just a few things that are currently on our 2012 Christmas wish list.
This Kitchen Aid Mixer has been on our wish list for quite some time. Admittedly we don’t do a huge amount of baking, but this would definitely make life easier. I can practically smell the freshly baked bread already! I especially love the candy apple red anniversary edition.
We’ve said it before, but we’ll say it again! We love our Kneelo. Yep, okay so we already own one, but as there are two of us (and there has been the odd argument) a second Kneelo would definitely come in handy. Just in case you are wondering, a Kneelo is a memory foam cushion to kneel on while gardening or doing other household chores.
I think the classic Anglepoise would look fantastic in our office. We currently have a really old and tiny desk lamp which really doesn’t give of enough light, especially at this dark time of year. The aluminum colour of the Anglepoise should look great in front of the dark blue backdrop. They are available in so many fantastic colours, I’m sure there will be one out there for everyone’s taste.
As we live in a rather wet part of the world, umbrellas always come in handy. Admittedly not very exciting, but better than getting wet!
Yep, I know it is very 70s, but I can’t help loving this luxury Alessi Fondue Set. It’s available with a wooden turning tray which holds little bowls of food and sauces. I also love the way it’s the same stand for both meat and cheese fondue, all you have to do is change the pot.
I’ve wanted a pair of these Hunter wellies for ages. Now that we have a house with a garden that is a complete mess they would definitely come in handy (and can kind of be justified). I’m not sure which ones to go for though as there is such an amazing range of colours and finishes to choose from. Having said that, I’m kind of loving the red gloss ones at the moment.
In between blogging and renovating, we love to read. Although I’d eventually like a library, I still love Kindles. There are always going to be books that you will want to buy as a hardback, but for everyday reading this definitely makes life much easier.
On the rare occasions when I’m not covered in dust and picking bits of paint out of my hair, it’s especially nice to make an effort. I love straighteners and really don’t know how I ever lived without them. These ones in particular look amazing. I love that they come with a heat protective roll mat, too.
Our old Nikon D40x DSLR has served us very well. Almost all of the pictures on our blog have been taken with our existing SLR. Recently we have however been looking for a more current update. This Nikon D3200 seems to be amazing and has more features than we would probably ever learn!
Sticking with the camera theme these Gorilla Pods are fantastic. They are small tripods with bendy legs that you can attach to things while you are out and about without the need to take a full sized tripod.
You can see that our wish list contains pretty much nothing for the house. Last year everything was very house related, which was great, but sort of missing the personal factor, so this year it’s nice to have treats rather than things we need. Some of the items, like the Kitchen Aid Mixer and the camera, are very extravagant and we definitely aren’t expecting to receive them.
Do you have any luxury items on your wish list? Is there anything you are really hoping for?
